The Committee on Community Events (CCE) is focused on promoting neuroscience through large-scale events at the University of Chicago. These campus events attract and are open to both undergraduate and graduate students, as well as to faculty and staff, and community members in the Chicago area. CCE's outreach extends to local high schools and other neuroscience interests clubs at Chicago universities.
The main events that the Committee on Community Events puts on: are the Annual Brain Awareness Week (late Winter) and the Annual Spring Brain Dissection (late Spring). These events are well-attended and offer participants an opportunity to get involved in hands-on neuroscience regardless of their level of expertise.
